Having Internet Trouble? Router/Modem Going Haywire?
Network issues are one of the most common computer problems. It may be down entirely, or giving errors intermittently. The possible causes are many, including problems with your internet service provider (ISP), a faulty router or modem, unplugged or broken wires, bad signal, etc. Network problems generally require a housecall for us to fix, as they may not lie simply inside your computer, but somewhere else in the house.
New Internet or Router Setup
Often setting up new internet service or the associated equipment isn’t as easy as they make it sound. We’ll set you up right and get your internet going as fast as it should.
Could It Be Viruses?
Viruses, malware, and adware can all slow you down, and will sometimes block your internet access altogether, if not outright spy on your info. Should I Call MY ISP?
In most situations, your ISP isn’t responsible for internet issues or able to fix your problem, unless their servers happen to be having issues (which they usually resolve quickly) or you need help getting your router setup yourself. While it usually won’t hurt to give them a call if you think the problem is on their end, it will sometimes result in hours of frustration if the problem is something only a tech on-site can diagnose and fix.
