What Am I Actually Getting?
We invest many hours into meticulous work producing a site that fits your needs. We may create a site from scratch with HTML/CSS code, but more likely we’ll employ a template that is free or very low cost. Depending on your needs, you may want a simple site with a few pages, some text, photos, links, etc, or you may want a WordPress-based site that gives you the ability to add and edit your own posts and pages easily. Whatever you need, we will decide with you and get it done.
A Complete Site That Suits Your Needs
What you actually end up with depends on what you ask for, but most customers end up with a unique and professional-looking multi-paged site, (4-7+ pages), rich with photos and keyword-friendly content, optimized for search engines, and connected to their listings pages on Facebook, Google and Yelp. Graphic Design
Images are necessary for any site, so graphic design goes hand in hand with web work, so we handle that for you, and a reasonable amount of editing and sourcing free, usable stock photos is included! Consultation and Basic SEO
Included in the web packages is a lot of free advice and planning on how to actually make your site work, and what will go along with it, such as activating and maintaining business pages on Facebook, Google, and Yelp, all three of which you can receive reviews on- reviews which customers often judge your business by!
Availability and Accountability
What a lot of other companies can’t give you is reliable, available, friendly service that also gets the job done. We’re here for any questions or concerns at any point in the process, and we remain available to help you with your site in the future if you choose to use us. We’re local, too, so meeting in person is always an option.
Web Design Process
The web design process usually follows this basic outline, with some emails or phonecalls in between and us receiving content from you (what you actually want on the site):
- Initial Contact – We discuss your essential needs, costs & make an overall plan.
- First Draft – We produce an initial, rough design for you to approve and comment on. If there are any issues, we figure them out here before continuing.
- Middle Phase – We go back and forth usually 1-3 more times with new iterations and new changes, perfecting the website to your needs. We may need photo or text content from you to progress.
- Finish-Up – In the final stage, the site is nearly done but there are small things to polish up or correct.
- Publishing – Putting the site online. We would buy a domain and hosting here if you haven’t already, usually from Godaddy.com
